Tubux M30

Universal float-type flow meter with glass measuring cone

Tubux M30-type flow meters are suitable for measuring clear liquids and gases. In the Tubux M30’s structural design, the glass measuring cone is protected by a stainless steel pipe with an integrated window. The uniform structure permits various standard-compliant connection concepts.

For more demanding applications, devices can also be equipped with one or more contact switches. On request, percentage or 2 mm scales are available for these device types.

Areas of application:

The Tubux M30-series float-type flow meters are used to measure the volume of clear liquid and gas flows in closed pipelines. Optionally, the devices can also be used for flow monitoring if they are equipped with one or more contact switches. Standard scales are offered for liquids with a density of 1 kg/l. The scales are converted based on the medium to be measured for all other measurement media.

The Tubux M30 float-type flow meter is used in the following industries:

  • Plant and mechanical engineering
  • Building services equipment
  • Water and wastewater

Advantages of the Tubux M30 mechanical flow meter:

  • Reliability (long-term stability, service life)
  • Can be used for liquids and gas (clear)
  • Measurement media temperatures: -10 °C to +150 °C
  • Precision ,.0 % of the measurement per VDI/VDE 3513-2 (qG = 50 %) - optional
  • Measurement range limit for liquid: 0.1 l/h to 25,000 l/h (water: +20 °C)
  • Measurement range limit for gas: 1 l/h to 480,000 l/h (air: +20 °C, 1.013 bar)
  • Flange, threaded or hose connection
  • Stainless steel fittings (other materials available optionally)
  • Suitable for explosive environments (ATEX)
  • Simple design, making it easy to install and maintain
  • No auxiliary power required for local display
  • Simple interpretation of measurements
  • High repeat accuracy of the measurements
  • Simple commissioning
  • Low cost and simple measuring principle without auxiliary power
  • No calming section
  • Manufacturer’s application expertise
  • Short lead times

Do I need an inlet and outlet path?

Not required

Where to read the flow value?

The reading edge is at the place of the largest diameter of the float.

Can I purchase a splitter guard subsequently after I purchased the device?

Yes, you can purchase a splitter guard subsequently but please be aware that due to the type of construction the back of the device will be not protected if no ATEX was purchased with the device.

I have an old Tubux 74. Do you deliver spare parts for this?

We would like to offer you our new Tubux M30. There are no spare parts available for the old Tubux 74 version.

Which parameters are mandatory to mention when placing an order?

When placing an order, it is essential to specify the medium, the density and viscosity at operating temperature and pressure. For gases, the exact Reference point of pressure (gauge pressure or absolute pressure) additionally required.

Which cleaning agent is required?

Although the devices are maintenance-free, it is recommended to regularly check the flow meter for signs of corrosion, mechanical wear and damage. We recommend routine checks at least once a year.

How is the unit cleaned?

For a detailed inspection and cleaning, the device must be removed from the pipeline. Contamination can lead to measurement errors under certain circumstances.
