The proven robust construction of the RE 250 in the process industry also allows use under tough conditions. Thanks to the full-metal version, these float-type flow meters are ideal for applications with high temperatures and pressure conditions (pressure up to 400 bar, temperature -40 °C to +350 °C) and for measurement of cloudy and corrosive media.
The RE 250-series float-type flow meters with a standard length of 250 mm (9.84 inch) is suitable for measuring a range of liquids, gases and vapours in closed pipelines thanks to its full-metal design. The robust construction permits use under tough conditions (aggressive media, pressure up to 400 bar, temp. -40 °C to +350 °C). Various types of flanges, claddings and floats fulfil the conditions of the pharmaceutical and chemical industry.
The position of the float is transferred contactlessly to the display unit via a magnet system and shown there directly on the scale. No external auxiliary energy is required for this.
¹ Standard measurement range for liquids (ρ = 1 kg/l, viscosity 1 mPa.s)
² Standard measurement range for gases (Pe = 0 bar pressure, T = 0 °C, ρ = 1,293 kg/m³, v = 0,0181 mPa.s)

Yes, we can create two scales on one display unit.
We usually recommend a float damping in case of gas measurements and vibrations in the pipe.
Additionally a float damping should be used in following scenarios to obtain a better measurement result:
When placing an order, it is essential to specify the medium, the density and viscosity at operating temperature and pressure. For gases, the exact Reference point of pressure (gauge pressure or absolute pressure) additionally required.
Although the devices are maintenance-free, it is recommended to regularly check the flow meter for signs of corrosion, mechanical wear and damage. We recommend routine checks at least once a year.
For a detailed inspection and cleaning, the device must be removed from the pipeline. Contamination can lead to measurement errors under certain circumstances.
