VdS Certification WHX Fire Hose Reel Testing Device
We are pleased to announce that we have reached a new milestone:
Our WHX fire hose reel testing device has now officially received VdS approval (Certificate G 424016). With this product solution, we are the first and only company to meet the stringent VdS testing requirements according to DIN 14462:2023-07. This means that, effective immediately, you can test your wall hydrants with certified measurement accuracy and safety.
Was does VdS approval mean?
- Certification by a recognized testing and certification body in fire protection
- Confirmation that the device meets high safety and quality standards
- Reliability and safety for the testing of fire protection systems
To achieve this recognition, the WHX had to pass, among others, the following tests:
- Pressure test: Load test at a pressure of 64 bar for 10 minutes
- Wear test: Continuous flow test at 500 l/min for 90 minutes
- Salt spray corrosion test: Corrosion resistance tested in a 5 % salt spray atmosphere for 10 days
- Water hammer test:: 3,000 water hammers at a pressure of 3.5 ... 41 bar
- Measurement accuracy: Subsequent verification of a maximum measurement deviation of ±2 % of the K-factor according to DIN 14462:2023-07
